Workshops at ICF Paused

Since 2019, with a break during COVID, AVP Michigan has been offering monthly workshops at Ionia Correctional Facility (ICF). This June of 2025, at the request of the ICF Administration, we have paused offering AVP workshops there. Reasons include a reduced number of workshop sign-ups and staffing shortages/changes at ICF. We hope to be back up and running again soon.

AVP-USA Celebrates 50 years

In 2025 AVP-USA celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Alternative to Violence Project (AVP) whose many participants and facilitators continue to spread the seeds of peace and nonviolence to communities around the world. World-Traveled Banner Signed by ICF Team

A banner that for several years has traveled all over the US and to many other countries collecting signatures and well-wishes from AVP facilitators and participants made its way this December to Ionia Correctional Facility.
